Batman: Arkham Knight Details

Posted March 6, 2014 by Felisha "Nightingale" Silva in News

Rocksteady, the company behind the Batman: Arkham games has released a ton of details outlining their upcoming, and possibly last, Batman game, Batman: Arkham Knight.

Batman: Arkham Knight takes place one year after Arkham City, and bears an open-world that is said to be five times the size it was in Arkham City. The streets in the game have been widened so that they may accompany the Batmobile. The Batmobile is described as an “unstoppable force”, and can be summoned to Batman at the mere press of a button. Batman will even have the ability to eject from the Batmobile whenever he so pleases.

The fighting style and takedowns remain about the same, but with a few upgrades, along with a few new moves thrown in.

We will also be getting a new villain in this game, who some have speculated to be the infamous and ever-so mysterious Hush, who played a slight role in in one of the side quests in Arkham City. Along with other fan favorites such as Harley Quinn and the Penguin, Scarecrow will make his way into the game once more with a whole new batch of fear toxin, ready to release it into the city via bombs that are hidden in and around the city.

Also, Kevin Conroy comes back as the voice of the Bat. Because, let’s face it, no one can do Batman justice the way Conroy can!

Rocksteady announced that there will be no multiplayer in this game, as they are focusing all of their time and attention to making it the best single-player experience imaginable.

The game is slated to make its way to PS4Xbox One, and PC on October 14th of this year, which was recently shown on a promotional poster at GameStop.
