Sons of Anarchy Game in the Works
Video game adaptations of tv series are, by and large, few and far between in comparison to the amount of movie-to-game adaptations that have been made. And so far, have been even less successful. So to the surprise of many, Sons of Anarchy will be getting its own adaptation. While the motorcycle-driven FX series has received legitimate success, unlike The Walking Dead or Game of Thrones, it might not be the first game to spring to mind for the idea.
Series Kurt Sutter has been pushing for this idea for a while now, even going so far as to approach Rockstar to be its developer. And he recently confirmed on Twitter, with understandable excitement, that this will indeed become a reality. “I cannot give you anymore details, but i will tell you that there will definitely be an SOA game. And it’s pretty f****** awesome.” He described the game as “1st person, action adventure. HD graphics. It represents the evolution of gaming.”
Though we know so few details at present, it’s hard not be excited by Sutter’s own enthusiasm. So we can only hope that in the long-run, no matter how surprising a pick for adaptation this may be, that it turns out more like The Walking Dead and less like the 24 PS2 game.
