Assassin’s Creed has come a long way from the first of the series, which was first released in 2007. Since then, Assassin’s Creed has made a hit with Assassin’s Creed II and the sequels following. Now, Assassin’s Creed IV, which was released for the PlayStation 3, Wii U, and Xbox 360 on October 29, 2013, was released for PlayStation 4 on the date of the PlayStation 4 release and available for XboxOne on its release date on November 22, 2013. All versions of this game run beautifully and the story is amazing, but what could make it even better than a beautiful story, amazing characters, and new game features?

Graphics, of course! Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag originally was released on consoles at 900p for the graphics when it first launched. However, a new small patch is available to all North American users that will upgrade their versions from 900p to 1080p on the PlayStation 4. This patch will make the graphics much smoother for North American players on the PlayStation 4, enhancing the graphics. Most players will not be able to see a huge difference as the 900p and 1080p are very similar, but the smoothed out quality is worth the upgraded patch. This upgraded patch will enhance more of the facial features, the environment, and the detailed lines of objects in the game. The graphics are nearly perfect in 900p, but in 1080p they looked slightly more fleshed out. The PlayStation 4 is now available and this patch is currently available.

With the launch of both next generation consoles and Assassin’s Creed IV for them both, which do you prefer the graphics on more? The PS4 of XboxOne? Or do you have sit for an older console? Should they release a patch for the other systems as well? If so, let me know your thoughts and opinions below!
