Microsoft Stores Stocked With Additional Xbox One Consoles At Launch

Posted November 21, 2013 by Bunneh3000 in News

It’s the mooooost wonderful tiiiiiiiiiiime of the yeeeeeeeeeeeeeear!

The Xbox One launch is right around the corner and as next gen fever continues for gamers across the world, Microsoft is doing their part to meet demand with supply! You remember that one store in your mall that opened up not too long ago with Microsoft stuff all in it? Yeah, the Microsoft store! Well, they are all planning on having their own Xbox One launch events in-store featuring a modest stock of Xbox One consoles. This is for all of those people who either changed their mind about not getting an Xbox One at launch or those who ‘found a way’ to scrounge up just enough money to afford this Kinect 2.0 flavored tech.

As with any other non-preorder related launch, you should probably get in line EARLY. The launch festivities at each store are scheduled to begin around 10PM. While I doubt they’ll have live entertainment and such at each store, what they will be doing is showing off the games that are available such as Ryse, Forza Motorsport 5, Dead Rising 3, and Killer Instinct. Also, the first 50 people in line to buy a console are to be awarded with exclusive prizes.

If you are EXTREMELY fortunate enough to live in the New York City or Los Angeles areas, then you are in even MORE luck. At each of these mega-cities, a massive launch party is to be thrown. In New York City, for example, the festivities are to begin as a day long countdown beginning at 8am on November 21st. At that time, the Best Buy Theatre in Times Square will be set up to dole out Xbox One purchases that will be redeemed at midnight. The first 1,000 to purchase the new console and/or game will enjoy an exclusive VIP concert with Macklemore & Ryan Lewis. The first 2,000 to purchase a console get exclusive giveaways such as Powerstar Golf, LocoCycle, and a 6-month Xbox Live Gold membership.

You’ve got to love a console launch. PS4 is out and dominating and the Xbox One is launching and closing the gap. There’s nothing better than having two console makers going at it and staying classy, except Xbox One armored trucks and the Xbone in a shark tank!
