Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD Remaster Release Date Announced

Finally! The official release date that I had been waiting on for quite sometime has finally been announced. Square Enix has officially stated that Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD Remaster will be released here in North America on March 18th of next year, and will be released over in Europe on March 21st, just a few days after the North American release.

The game will be available on the PlayStation 3, and will contain both Final Fantasy X and Final Fantasy X-2 all on one disc. The games are even supposed to come to the PlayStation Vita, but the games will be sold separate from one another. There is still no news on exactly when we will be getting the Vita versions of the games.

Originally we were supposed to get this HD remaster sometime this year. I remember at the beginning of the year, they were talking about a June release, then it was rumored to become available late in the year, in September I believe it was. But all good things come to those who wait and patience is a virtue…and finally come March 18th, we will get our copies of Final Fantasy X/X-2.

Even though I have already played both games on their original platform, the PlayStation 2, I can’t wait to get my hands on these and relive the adventure all over again. It still to this day stands out as one of my favorite Final Fantasy titles. And for those who have never played this game before, and are fans of Final Fantasy, go out and get this game on March 18th. You will not regret your decision to do so. Who out there will be planning to pick up the HD gem? How many of you will just await the Vita versions and get those instead? There was even a rumor a while back that there may even be some sort of Final Fantasy X/X-2 PlayStation Vita bundle at some point…we can only wait and see if there is any truth to that.
