Injustice Patch

NetherRealm Studios has released the latest patch for Injustice: Gods Among Us and it is a big on.  As part of the hefty upgrade to the fighting game offers a range of balance adjustment and gameplay fixes, which has impact not only on nearly every character in the game, but also a degree of change made to some of the more general gameplay and setting reactions.  Along with the patch also comes a free download for a Man of Steel skin for the character of Zod.

A small sampling of the changes brought about with this patch include:

  • DLC characters now available in the archives
  • Offline restart match, allowing instant restart of a match from the pause menu
  • The option to instant rematch in online contests
  • The introduction of King of the Hill challenges
  • Slightly reduced velocity and collision sphere for splash damage across a handful of arenas according to different characters
  • Aquaman now has a cooldown of 12 seconds on Water of Life, up from 9 seconds
  • Bane applies Meter Burn to Venom Uppercut when a hit is missed or blocked
  • Catwoman’s High and Low Feline Evade have one start up frame, down from two
  • Flash has an improved hit box on Flying Uppercut
  • Harley Quinn’s Bag-O-Tricks now has an eight second cooldown
  • Nightwing’s Staff Spin hits smaller characters with the last hit when meter burned
  • Superman has increased damage scaling on some combos
  • Zod’s Phantom Wraith Slash can no longer be parried
