Valiant Hearts Announced

A new comic, turn by turn title has just been announced by Ubisoft and it goes by the title of Valiant Hearts. This amazing looking game will feature five characters, all attempting to survive the best ways that they know how, having their fate tied together by what seems to be the protagonist of the story. A medical and rescue dog is the character that ties all of these soldiers and survivors together and I have to say, this looks like it could be a tear jerker of a title in the long run.

The game doesn’t look like any sort of blockbuster title with a bunch of fans following it but those titles always end up being my favorite because they have that underdog tone that allows the player to come up with something great and this one seems to have that feeling. With a touch of stealth, your only objective within this game is to survive the horrors and troubling times of World War I. With the world’s largest super power surrounding you and it only being five individual stories, each one will delve in to a plot of its own and the way that Ubisoft ties these together will truly be amazing as the dog will leave one of the characters just to join up with another one and start their story off.

According to Joystiq, Ubisoft does a very appropriate job at making the Germans, when they were what they were in history, more light hearted and just as bad guys instead of monstrous soldiers of war and death. You can still see those hints of morbid filth as they chug beer and eat pretzel after pretzel because they are enjoying the spoils of war. Ubisoft hit the nail on the head with this little side project and it’s set to release in 2014.
