Injustice: Gods Among Us

Destructoid reports that Zatanna has been confirmed by NetherRealms studios as the sixth DLC character for Injustice: Gods Among Us. All of this comes after some hints were twitted by Ed Boon, the co-creator of Mortal Kombat and creative director of the studio behind Injustice. Joining Lobo, BatgirlScorpionZod, and the Martian Manhunter on August 14th, she will appear on a PS3 or Xbox 360 near you. This DLC character will set cash-strapped gamers back 400 Microsoft Points or $4.99 on the PSN. No announcement, yet, for when gamers can expect to cash out for this DLC on the Wii U version of the game.

Injustice: Gods Among Us is a 2D one-on-one fighting game, that introduces a unique twist on well known stories of many well-known DC comics heroes and villains. The Joker tricks Superman into killing Lois Lain. In a fit of rage, he kills the Joker and loses himself. He creates a tyrannical world order with him as high councilor, that is opposed by the Batman lead Insurgency. The game has a simple control scheme that includes light, medium, heavy and character trait attacks, with the latter being an attack unique to each character. As an example, Batman can summon a swarm of robotic bats that will attack your opponent. Character in the game are divided into superpower users (like Superman) and gadget users (like Batman). The game features a standard combo/meter system, which is made a great deal more interesting with the Clash system. In this wager (Clash) system players bet part of their meter and the winner is determined by the larger bet. The game decimated a 77 out of 100 on Metacritic.
