One of the greatest series in the history of video games has just made its latest title even better with some DLC that every multiplayer fan in God of War: Ascension can enjoy. Most players said that multiplayer in God of War was never going to work because the main character is given special abilities that would make fighting him unfair and even impossible. So what does it mean when two warriors like that are pitted against each other? It makes for one of the coolest multiplayer concepts that have been in a video game. I have to say that after the short time I have spent with the multiplayer in God of War: Ascension, I am more than excited to see that five new maps and a new game mode have been added for the low price of free.

According to Shack News, “The 1.09 title update adds “Bout of Honor,” a new 1v1 mode that’s free for all players of the game. In this new mode, two players head face-to-face with no chests, fountains, or world weapons. Relics are also disabled, but magic will slowly regenerate, giving players other tactical options beyond punching each other in the face. The new mode also includes four maps (also free): Canyons of Kirra, Chamber of the Flame, Landing at Delos, and Streets of Sparta.”

Supposedly, there will be some pretty amazing one on one fights coming from the new game mode and it seems that this will be a Mortal Kombat 2.0 in a way. The depictions show two almost immortal warriors duking it out in an arena and there will be some attention thrown to this game mode in the near future
