My fellow MMO, RPG fans, the next Final Fantasy has been announced and it look like the best one yet. Lightning Returns is going to be the next game in the series and it will continue the story from the previous games. Now I won’t pretend like I am a professional on the games as with my real life occurring, I just can’t keep up with the awesomeness that is included within every single one of these titles. The trailer released is downright amazing and the date is given as just under one year away, being in February of 2014.

According to The Escapist, this is a project that was scheduled for this year at around the same time that the next generation consoles are supposed to launch, however it was pushed back and at this point, given all the times this has happened in gaming history, can fans really be upset? Final Fantasy fans have always been my favorite and for number thirteen, I assume that most of us are going to assume that this being pushed back is a good thing because now the graphics, gameplay, and overall impression of the game will be drastically improved.

I can’t wait for this game to be released and what has been said about this game is that you are on a timer with the whole game to avoid a cataclysmic event. I feel like all of the Final Fantasies have that same genre and feeling but if you’re going to want that classic turn based combat with some of the best story telling you have ever heard and seen, then wait patiently for this title to be released and raise your expectations for the game as the next generation consoles are going to beef this amazing game up even more.
