Dead Space series not dead

Posted June 18, 2013 by Noxxic in News

Dead Space is an all time favorite game for a ton of us thrill seekers and apparently, the series is not dead. EA has shared with Gamespot and several of their fans that Dead Space has always and will always have a soft spot in their heart and the third game in the series is in no way a play to end the series. It’s even been expressed that if the series does come to an end, the genre and the way that the game has felt and played will still be reflected in other future titles. Dead Space has always been that game that I play with a grain of salt because it’s one that you can’t put down, but it also scares the crap out of you around every twist and turn.

The horror story that puts Isaac Clarke, an exploration scientist at the mercy of a horrible disease, makes a player feel as though they are living out the isolation and fear that the character himself is designed to feel in the game. Now it may have been reported that the sales for Dead Space 3 were much lower than expected, but EA has claimed that is false and will certainly not be the reason that Dead Space as a series is cancelled. I am very excited that this game will not be cancelled because no matter how much I hate myself for turning the game on when it begins, there is nothing I enjoy more than a game with a great story, solid graphics, and a strong history.

EA has once again proven that they know where their values stand and I couldn’t agree more with what they have released to the public. We as gamers, can look forward to more Dead Space titles in the future, or at least similar titles by this amazing publishing company.
