New Details on Sega’s Sonic: Lost World
New details about the latest work from Sega come to us via Joystiq, the latest title from Sega being Sonic: Lost World. Due to a new partnership between Nintendo and Sega, Sonic: Lost World will only be available for the Nintendo Wii U and the Nintendo 3DS. Each version having platform-related features catering to that platform in particular.
For the Wii U version, it will support off-TV play, allowing you to play the game in full through the Wii U GamePad alone. The Wii U version will also have a two-player mode. And Sega announced that you can expect the 3DS version to have “exclusive Special Stages and Color Powers unique to Nintendo 3DS.” On both the Nintendo Wii U and Nintendo 3DS, we can expect to see a competitive multiplayer mode of some sort for Sonic: Lost World. We have very few details on the multiplayer mode at the moment, but in the future we can hope that more will be revealed, perhaps we will get some more information on the game and all it’s features at this year’s E3. We can only hope!
I know I’ll be sitting there with my eyes glued to the television and my fingers crossed hoping to hear even more on what I think will be a spectacular new installment to the Sonic series. No release date has been announced on Sonic: Lost World, all we know it will release sometime later on this year on both Nintendo’s Wii U and 3DS.
