Nintendo Direct Brings News of New Legend of Zelda Game For Nintendo 3DS

Posted April 17, 2013 by Felisha "Nightingale" Silva in News

Great news was announced this morning for all of us Legend of Zelda fans via Nintendo Direct. Nintendo officially announced this morning that they are working on a new Zelda title for the Nintendo 3DS. For quite sometime people had been wanting to see a 3D remake of A Link to the Past, the Legend of Zelda game originally released for the Super Nintendo back in 1992. Nintendo came up with something even better. I present to you, the new 3DS title, A Link to the Past 2: Triforce of the Gods. The game is set in the same world from the original Link to the Past game that we have all come to know and love, but now in awesome 3D! I can’t begin to tell you how excited I am personally for this title. A Link to the Past has always and forever will be one of my favorite titles from the Legend of Zelda franchise. Though there was no exact date given for the release of the game, it is set for “Holidays 2013″, just in time for Christmas. To see gameplay and more, click this link

And for those who need a little Zelda therapy until then, coming May 30th to the Nintendo eShop on the 3DS, Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Seasons AND Oracle of Ages, two games originally released on the GameBoy Color. And we also can’t forget the Wind Waker HD remake coming to us for the Wii U this Fall.
And on a side note for those of you out there awaiting the update for the Wii U, it was stated on Nintendo Direct this morning that the update will arrive next Tuesday, with the Virtual Console arriving the very next day after.
