League of Legends Reveals Lissandra, the Ice Witch
A new Legend has joined the League with Riot’s latest champion reveal of Lissandra, the Ice Witch. This champion looks like one I will enjoy playing very much as she is a mage who uses mana very efficiently and is designed to kite, crowd control, and lure enemies in to ganks and slow them for kills versus taking damage. I’m sure that she can be built in to some ability power to ensure some kills along with the slows and stuns along with one of the more simple, but effective ultimate moves in the game.
Starting off, we have Lissandra’s passive, which gives her the ability (after a short cooldown) to use an ability and have it cost no mana. That’s not all though, using a movement impairing ability, which are almost all of her spells, reduces the cooldown. This passive alone makes me convinced that I will be picking her up on release day. Her Q ability, which will most likely be the highest damage ability, is called Ice Shard which throws a spear of ice at her opponents and the first champ it hits, is slowed severely as well as damaging every other champion it hits after that. Ring of Frost is Lissandra’s area of effect spell that will root targets in place for a short duration and leave them stunned.
My favorite ability of Lissandra’s will be the Ice Claw she can shoot out which is slow moving, but damages and slows enemies hit. Not only is this a strong skill shot, but can also work as a teleport, in that if Lissandra activates her E button twice, she will teleport to her claw. This can be used as a chaser and escape. If you’re looking for a mage who can control the battlefield, as far as movement speed is concerned, pick up Lissandra, Ice Witch soon.
