Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon is Almost Here

One of the best first person shooters I have ever played is right around the corner from having an amazing expansion released that will provide almost eight hours of solid entertainment. Far Cry 3 is going with a retro-futuristic look as you will adventure in to an island that would be depicted of what someone in the eighties thought the future would look like. The main enemy of yours in this expansion are going to be the Blood Dragons as they are attempting to eat you and are being mind controlled by an even larger group of enemies.

I have to say, I knew that the Far Cry team over at Ubisoft have probably been trippin’ on a little bit of acid since Far Cry 3 was so odd at times, but this expansion took the mind of a genius and the baked out mind of someone on drugs, and made the golden boy of expansions. I honestly can not stop looking up videos of press gamers and early access junkies walking around the island that is dedicated to this expansion and I am so happy with what I have seen so far. Your knife turns in to this glowing light saber type bowie knife, your gun turns in to some sort of battle rifle, smg hybrid straight out of Halo and the enemies are a blast to take down.

Something that I can’t wait to see is what are the gigantic red beams shooting down from the sky and I know that other than radio towers in the original game, this is Ubisoft’s way of saying that they want us to get every look at this island. I love the perspective of “this is what people thought the future was going to be like in the eighties”. This looks like another home run for Ubisoft and keep your eyes open for May 1st as the Blood Dragons will be here by then.
