It’s been announced recently that Rayman Legends, which was originally supposed to be a Wii U exclusive, will now be released as a multiplatform game, and won’t be available until later on this year. The game was originally slated to come out later on this month, but several weeks back it was announced that the game’s release would be delayed.
But never fear those of you who have been awaiting this game anxiously, Ubisoft is releasing the online challenge mode from the game this April. There will be challenges created daily, in five different settings, on of which will be a Wii U exclusive, entitled the Dungeon. It will be available for download from the Nintendo eShop.

Xavier Poix, managing director for Ubisoft’s French Studios, recently told IGN:
“When we saw all the comments when we announced the game would be focused on Wii U, all of the people that have both the PlayStation 3 and 360 were really disappointed. So we thought it was making more sense to also bring the game to where it was originally from. That means Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. So we decided to go for a multiplatform launch simultaneously.”

No definite release date has been set as of yet, all we know for now is that Rayman Legends will be available later this year. But I have a feeling it’ll be here just in time for Christmas.
