Possession to be Released Soon Hopefully?

Possession is the newest zombie game being developed for the PlayStation 3 and the release date was just cancelled for further development on this unique title. The game is about zombies so one would NATURALLY think that you are a survivor or a member of some group trying to outlast a zombie apocalypse. However, Possession is about sort of a “god of zombies” character that is able to control any and all zombies that he comes in to contact with. He is able to do this because of chemicals that that he has come in to contact with. These chemicals make him a zombie, while still retaining his intelligence which makes him a force to reckon with.

Never before has there been a unique game like this that has had zombies in it or even the idea of zombies involved. At first the game was designed to be a real-time strategy and you were to be the “zombie commander” that would control your very own zombie army to take down the corporation that made the chemicals that have ruined your life forever. However, it seems that it is just going to combine the mechanics of real-time strategy and it would be a third person adventure instead.

It looks like the game is still under deep development but since there was a release date already given, we can only hope that it won’t be too long. I personally hope too that it does not only become a real-time strategy game, but it does have a little more depth in gameplay. I could imagine manipulating hundreds of mindless monsters, while blending in to move in and take care of what you need to take care of. Possession needs to come out soon, but there’s no way of knowing at this moment.
