2013 will be a big year for the world of gaming. With the next generation consoles to come out this year, everybody is looking for any and all details they can get about Microsoft’s and Sony’s latest systems.
That being said, Microsoft has recently done something that is puzzling gamers everywhere. Microsoft’s Larry Hyrb (Major Nelson) has set up a mysterious countdown clock on his official blog. The headline above the timer says, simply, “And it’s on…” All we know for sure is the countdown will hit zero at the time of E3 2013. No one knows if it’s a countdown to their next gen console, or a countdown to some highly anticipated game. Either way, it gets Microsoft fans everywhere even more curious than ever.

I for one, think it’s to do with the premiere of their latest console on E3. But who knows… All we can do is sit back and twiddle our thumbs anxiously awaiting 2013′s E3.

But in the meantime, what do YOU think the countdown is counting down to?
