Dust 514 has hit the Live EVE Servers
The beta is finally over as far as Dust 514 is concerned and it being integrated with EVE Online is exactly where players are finding themselves. The developers really wanted the actions of the gamers to mean something within the community that they’re in. Every single action that a player takes can affect the balance of the EVE universe as well as the Dust 514 universe. This is really the first cross platform game that is being implemented in a modern way and it really allows players to step up and play the game how they want to.
If players would rather get their hands on some space controls and have a little bit more control in the battles and make those decisions of “is this good in the long run”? Or if you would rather get your boots dirty (which is exactly what I would prefer), Dust 514 is more your style because you are the troops and mercenaries that want to help certain friends or allies on the EVE Online servers. It’s not that I don’t think that those out there that run the tactical sides of things matter, but I believe in trusting a gun and the movements of myself instead of floating in space and having no control over anything if anything goes wrong.
The only thing that seems better than this is all the news with the next gen graphics and new consoles that are going to come out and I can only think that in some way, the whole deal with Dust 514 and EVE Online. The integrations of all of these platforms and different games means it’s only a matter of time before all of gaming will be centralized in to one community and we can thank the times now for that.
