Crafting a Legendary in Guild Wars 2
Guild Wars 2 is still climbing its way to the top of critics’ lists as far as best MMO’s ever made is concerned and it’s no wonder with so many fun things in the game. My favorite aspect of Guild Wars 2, or at least one of my favorites, is the crafting side of the game and that’s not from just one crafting skill, that’s from every aspect. Not only can you have every craft in the game on one character, if you can afford it, but crafting items in this game actually matter and after you hit endgame and have had an extreme amount of time farming materials, you can even craft your own legendary items in this amazing game.
Whether you want a sword with a blade that looks like the night sky, or a longbow that can shoot unicorns with rainbow trails behind it, crafting a legendary is one of the hardest things to accomplish in Guild Wars 2 and the amount of luck and farm time that is required to make these weapons, they had better be cherished by those that have the privilege of owning them. First off, players need to get one hundred percent map completion, which is a challenge in of itself, but using the Mystic Forge to get all of the “gifts” that you need is the biggest pain (although it’s a good pain because it’s not easy and it’s still possible) and this is the side of crafting where luck comes in to play throwing the materials in to the Forge hoping you get what you need.
Crafting a legendary in Guild Wars 2 is harder than any other crafting in any other MMO I have ever played, but considering I’m halfway through the grind without any help from anybody in my guild or spending any real money, I’m invested now and I can’t stop until I join that elite group. Soon I’ll have my legendary and that will be a sad day for Tyria and all who inhabit it as I will shout it from every mountain for hours and hours on end.
