Tomb Raider Campaign 12-15 Hours Long

Posted November 26, 2012 by Esteban Cuevas in News

The upcoming Tomb Raider reboot title will be coming March 2013 and the game’s developer, Crystal Dynamics, has now said that the campaign will last 12 to 15 hours. The exact amount will depend on your play style, says brand director Karl Stewart during a Q&A with fans on Twitter.

Tomb Raider‘s story is being pushed as the game’s main selling point and it’ll detail the origins of the game’s protagonist Lara Croft. British actress Camilla Luddington will be the voice of Lara Croft, as well as motion capture and fantasy writer Rhianna Pratchett has penned the script.

Stewart also mentioned a few more details about the game such as there will be multiple side-quests and extras, Lara will have regenerating health, and there will be no swimming levels. “Lara can swim, but just not in this game,” Stewart said. Stewart also said a sequel will be made if the game is successful, adding that Lara Croft’s origin story requires at least one more game to tell completely.

This is one of my most anticipated titles for 2013 and I’m real excited for it. However, what do you think about this upcoming game? Are you excited to see Lara Croft in a whole new light? Are you pleased to hear there will be no swimming sections in the game? Comment below and let us know!
