I’m sure all you big Nintendo fans out there noticed two very important people missing amidst the Wii U‘s launch. Those people being Link and Mario. But no worries my fellow Nintendo fanatics, just recently Nintendo’s president Satoru Iwata told IGN: “We will announce the launch schedules for new 3D Zelda and Mario games in the future, but this is not the right opportunity for me to indicate when we will make such announcements.”

This makes me even more excited about the Wii U than I was already. In fact, according to Iwata, during the development of new Nintendo consoles, they always keep the game developers in mind: “as we develop a new hardware platform, we ask ourselves such questions as, ‘what kind of new Zelda and Mario games do the software creators hope to make on this?”

A lot of people were upset that there were no Zelda and Mario games included in the launch of Nintendo’s Wii U, but I like to think of it this way: Nintendo is taking extra time to make these games the very best they can be for their new console. Remember gamers, “good things come to those who wait”
