Mirror’s Edge Sequel Over the Horizon

Posted November 21, 2012 by The Laymen's Gamer in News

According to Ben Cousins, a former EA developer (who, in my humble opinion, seems to fit the profile of what everyone seems to think of Electronic Arts, these days):

“It is general knowledge in the Stockholm dev scene that Mirror’s Edge 2 is in production at DICE.”

This entry on Twitter was in response to an article posted on Eurogamer, making it seem a little official, though when Eurogamer tried to contact EA in order to confirm this information, they refused to comment, probably wanting to announce this themselves.
I’m not one to take what’s heard on Twitter too seriously, especially from guys who sound like they’re more bark than bite, but this is something that certainly got my attention, considering I thoroughly enjoyed Mirror’s Edge. While EA hasn’t confirmed or denied the information – which, in my books, sounds like confirmation to me – I’m still excited about the aspect of a sequel.
What did you guys think of the original? What do you think of a sequel? Do you think this guy’s got the straight goods or is it possible that he’s just blowing hot air out his ass?
