Call of Duty: Black Ops II Zombie Modes First Impressions

Zombie modes are finally here and Treyarch has exceeded expectations with what they’ve done in the new Call of Duty: Black Ops II zombie world. Three modes total are included when you enter the zombie section of the menus and they are all fun as ever. The first mode, which is the main mode it seems, is ‘TranZit’ which puts up to four players on a bus out of hell moving from stop to stop, making players try to figure out what is going on with the infamous ‘blue-eyed zombies’. The second mode, is the classic survival mode that is the zombies we all know and love from the other Black Ops game. The third and final mode is called ‘Grief’ in which players try to hold out as long as they can, but to also perform actions to get the other team to take zombie damage and aggro.

The TranZit mode feels very complex and like a bit of a puzzle solver but that is what they needed to make a permanent part of the game like they did in the moon map. As players jump on and off the bus that takes them from place to place, they fight off hordes of zombies and build items that help them last as long as they can so they can eventually find out what is going on and why they are there. I haven’t gotten too far yet but it’s interesting to say the least. The second mode I have tried and all the goodies are turned off so it’s the classic mode where if you make it to round twenty, you did extremely well, considering how much more difficult it gets. In the mode ‘Grief’, players are going to use everything they can to be the last team standing so the zombies chase the other team of four.

I am still getting in to the details and will definitely be looking deeper in to the spectacle that is Call of Duty: Black Ops II zombies.
