Wii U to be Sold at a Loss

The Wii U is going to be sold at less than what the expected price was for Nintendo and it’s not going to be the first time. It’s still going to be one of the most expensive consoles that Nintendo has ever sold but comparing it to how much that it was supposed to be worth in the long run, Nintendo is predicting massive losses. This may have something to do with the fact that they were using under aged workers to get deadlines met and make sure that everything launched according to plan.

It’s funny how it worked out that Nintendo took a major chance trying to make everything easier on them but now they are going to lose a lot of money for some stupid decisions that did not have to be made in the first place. It comes down to confidence and how certain employees from Nintendo were thinking that they’re going to disappoint so many fans because they couldn’t kick out the expected number of consoles on time but how many fans would be less disappointed if Nintendo just sent out a press release saying that the launch of the console is being pushed back for technical reasons and that it will be released shortly. Now there is conflict and there are issues of unimaginable magnitude (for a video game console) surrounding the Wii U and everyone who was involved in the production process.

The last thing that Nintendo had to worry about, was losing a fan base or anything like that, because even if they kept the Wii U at a price higher than any other console out there today, fans would still buy it. If that is something that Nintendo has not figured out yet, then they’re doing it wrong.
