Resident Evil 6- Leon Campaign Ending is Ridiculous

Spoiler Alert, the ending to the Leon campaign in Resident Evil 6 is more outrageous and ridiculous than the other ones have ever been before. This time we’re fighting the “defender of our nation” as he’s been injected with some sort of upgraded form of the C-virus and his body is breaking apart like a jigsaw puzzle in to several different creatures. The fight is extremely long and covers a lot of ground so be ready to hang out for a while once you engage him because you guys will be friends for quite some time.

First of all, this engagement with this guy is just ridiculous; you spend the entire chapter just randomly coming in contact with this mutated freak who just won’t die. There are other games out there where the bad guy just keeps coming at you, but Resident Evil 6 did a mediocre of job of telling when enough is enough when it comes to that mechanic. Second, how many obnoxious creatures is this guy going to change in to? You fight Simmons as he morphs in to some sort of super dog with a temper, a “zombiesaurus” that runs around throwing cars at you while you set him on fire, and last but not least, a giant fly that dies by lightning. Without giving too much away, all I can say is be ready for some unexpected fighting and I don’t mean that in a good way.

Boss fights in Resident Evil have always been a little out there but Capcom pushed it a little too much in this game and got to be downright ridiculous and felt almost like fighting an alien. We all know that they can do better than this and that is exactly what I’m hoping for in one of the other campaigns when I give them a try but as for Leon’s end boss, I am sadly disappointed.

Yes, it’s quite annoying. The final two chapters are basically drawn out set piece boss battles. After enjoying the first 3 chapters of Leon’s campaign, that irks me the most. This isn’t like Nemesis, it’s merely feels cheap and rushed. For me, it was a letdown and a chore. He’s a Dog! He’s a T-Rex! He’s a fly! Jeez, just end it already.
