Rare Spawns are Back in Mists of Pandaria

Blizzard has done an amazing job of implementing the entire rare spawn system in Mists of Pandaria, and even allows for some rare spawn hunting sessions in the new expansion. So first of all, they actually made the “rare spawns”, rare spawns this time around meaning that they do actually spawn, it’s just rarely and they actually drop some stuff that makes them worth farming once in a while. The vanity off of the rare mobs is probably the coolest aspect to killing them but there are many other “important” reasons like farming Motes of Harmony, or a Hozen Piece Pipe to increase you Reputation with each faction by a thousand that week.

There are guides and videos all over the internet on finding these rare spawns even though the “Glorious!” achievement gives you nothing but the actual accomplishment for finding and killing every rare spawn in the world of Pandaria. The cool thing about the rare spawns throughout the land is that the fights for every race are different and engaging and they actually make you work for the kill because every rare spawn in the game can kill your character without it being too difficult for them. Moving out of the bad stuff and interrupting heals are important for any rare spawn hunter so just remember it actually takes your attention to get this achievement done, not just mindless farming.

Blizzard has done so well adding the rare spawn feature back because for a while, it felt like rare spawns were too crazy to even find and if you did, they didn’t drop anything you could really use so it’s nice to see them back as a viable mechanic again. It’s the little things like that, that keep many fans around and then make those fans talk great about Mists of Pandaria to bring in new ones. Keep up the good work Blizzard and we all look forward to patch 5.1!
