Medal of Honor: Warfighter is utilizing all of the tools made available to them and finding a way to get players to log on every day with their ‘Nations’ system. If players log on to the battle log and log in with the information provided with their Xbox Live account (as it’s told to you on the multiplayer screen), their profile comes up with all of their stats and these ‘Warfighter Tokens’ that players spend. Spending these tokens is like giving your nation some footsteps in a race with all of the other nations in the game.

This is one of the most interesting takes on an online tracking system and it’s changing a lot of things with how players play the game. The better that you do in a game, the more ribbons and rewards you get in a game which ultimately means one thing, more tokens to spend. If players log on and play a game or two every day, then they get the ability to spend their tokens for a second day bonus and then the next day for a 3x bonus and so on and so forth all the way up to 7x the tokens and experience.

The way that this is done, sort of makes the other systems like Call of Duty: Elite and all of these other things that are trying to catch on to that tracking system. EA made a smart choice with Medal of Honor: Warfighter by making it feel like you’re chasing the lead with your nation right next to you, but they judge who’s leading the race off of a ratio of tokens/contributors which is the perfect way to do it because it depends on how many people choose certain nations. Most players don’t give it the time of day but logging on is crucial if you want your nation to be in the lead.

What people don’t get is that it’s a ratio, you have to contribute just as much as other countires or they could win.
