Headshots Don’t Count in Resident Evil 6?

Resident Evil 6 has been out for multiple days now and apparently headshots are a mechanic that doesn’t matter anymore when killing zombies. Playing in all three of the campaigns has presented more than just a challenge when it comes to facing and killing enemies. Capcom, for whatever reason, went with the route of making the game extremely more difficult to a point where it seems ridiculous instead of making it as scary as it should be.

All I have heard from my friends are phrases like “what the hell is going, I just shot him in the face ten times!” It leads to a rather difficult game but sometimes it also leads to frustration and getting rid of that game altogether. Yes, it’s true that the Resident Evil games have not really been the same since back in the day when you had four shots in your gun and there were six zombies in front of you and that meant you better get four headshots and then run like a bat outta hell. That fear in a video game is why Resident Evil is going to remembered forever in the gaming world but lately it has this strange anime, shoot ‘em up feeling that just doesn’t feel right in a “zombie survival, horror story.”

Shooting a zombie eight times in the head has become part of every encounter no matter what character you’re on and even in a campaign like Chris’ where you are emptying clips in to the enemies, the amount of ammo it takes to actually progress is wrong and it needs to be fixed. It does not mean that Resident Evil 6 is a bad game by any means but it needed to be made scary, not more difficult.

Dude Resident Evil 2 was my favorite one with the dogs and having like no ammo half the time!!! This one’s a little whack since it takes a full clip for one walker!
