Borderlands 2- Pirates in Pandora!
Borderlands 2 has been out for a short amount of time and Gearbox has already given a great original game, a teenaged mechanic, and now Pandora has some loot hording pirates. The newest expansion, Captain Scarlett and Her Pirate’s Booty, is by far the best expansion that has ever hit a video game. For only ten dollars, or it comes free if you were smart enough to check out that Season Pass, an entire new area has been added to Pandaria that was not there in the original version of the game.
Beginning in the town of ‘Oasis’, players are already getting that feeling of an entire new world to explore and it’s the first expansion. I need to take a moment and give credit where it’s due. If games everywhere handled their extra content like this, there would not be a single complaint and they could make over ten games with the same basic idea and make tons of money. For gamers to not feel like the developer is being selfish or careless with their content is the definitions of perfection in the gaming community. Anyway, getting back to the pirates, starting in Oasis players are going to be embarking on a journey to find the booty that Captain Scarlett has scored and she uses what is said to be “the largest creature in Pandora”. I don’t want to give too much away for those that are curious, but for a game to make you feel like you’re in Port Royale that was originally meant to be death and wasteland.
This is just the first of the many expansions that Gearbox is going to graciously give the fans that are putting in the effort in the original game. The first game worked this way and fans could not be more excited for what’s to come next.
