The news we’ve all been waiting to hear forever has finally been announced! Just recently, Nintendo has confirmed the release date for the long awaited Wii U. Date of releases has been set for November 18 of this year. They are releasing two versions for consumers to buy. The basic version, and the deluxe version.

The basic Wii U includes the console, the controller, and 8GB HDD. The deluxe version on the other hand comes complete with console, controller, HDMI cable, a power cradle for your Wii U pad, 32GB HDD, and a subscription to Nintendo Network Premium, that gives you 10% off of downloadable content. The basic Wii U is to be priced $299, and the deluxe version priced at $349.

The console is said to have 2GB for general memory, 1GB for game memory, and 1GB for system memory built into it. The discs will have a 25GB capacity, and will not be Blu-Ray as some had rumored it to have earlier on in it’s development. It will be backwards compatible with Wii games, so you will still be able to play all your favorite Wii titles on your Wii U. And also, the Wii U will support the use of Wii accessories!

Now I don’t know about the rest of you, but I cannot wait to get my hands on this latest Nintendo treasure. You can be sure that as soon as is possible, I’ll have the deluxe version in my possession.
