RUMOR: Wii U To Be Released November 11th?
Nintendo has been tight lipped concerning details on the Wii U’s release ever since E3 2012. After announcing various details including the unique controller’s specs and features as well as several games coming to the console, a price and release date has yet to be unveiled. It’s the accepted assumption that the console will be released this holiday season but with that being only two months away, the likelihood of that grows slimmer and slimmer with each passing day.
However recently, rumors have started to pop up in various places from foreign online retailers to GameStop presentations. These leaks state the release date will be sometime in November and further confirming this is a new rumor that not only gives a solid release date but a price. This new information comes from Video Product Distributors, a distribution company who’s clients include Amazon, Blockbuster and New Egg. A trade account is required to view the information but a YouTube user posted footage as proof.
A listing on their site states that the console will be released in North America on November 11, 2012 and there will be three different bundles. The first, listed as WIIU SYSTEM – GM, will cost $249.99. The second, listed as WIIU SYSTEM W/ – GM, will cost $299.99. The third, listed as WIIU SYSTEM 349 W/ – GM, will cost $349.99. It can be assumed that the first listing consists of the console itself only and that the other two will included additional games or peripherals but there’s no indication of what exactly will be included.
Everyone wants to know when the Wii U is coming out, especially as its release window draws closer and closer. However, without an official announcement from Nintendo, all of this must be taken with a grain of salt. Do you think these numbers are correct or educated guesses?
