Ratchet and Clank Collection Brings Back Memories
Back in the late ‘90’s, a game was made for the PlayStation 2 that followed some sort of acrobatic squirrel and his robot, named Ratchet and Clank. Ratchet is a made up creature with an amazing ability to fix up cars and anything mechanical while Clank is a small robot, which is basically a butler to Ratchet but ends up being his friend through all of their journeys. Insomniac Games has made a complete collection of all of the Ratchet and Clank games and have re-mastered the graphics so the old, amazing adventure now looks presentable on the PlayStation 3.
Most of the environments and areas are looking much better but you can see a little bit of an error in the character remake as they look just a little bit pieced together. Progress the game by going on adventures with Clank and you and your robot friend will be leveling up and getting a ton of new guns, vehicles, and combat abilities to make your adventures that much more fun. The Ratchet and Clank collection was released at the end of August and it is still available at stores like Gamestop and odds are they are going to include some sort of fun addon that makes the game enjoyable. The soundtrack is sure to be just the same as it was back in the day, fun and adventurous with a little bit of an obnoxious touch to it.
There’s no better experience than taking a game that you played a long time ago and play the remade edition to get the feeling back when you played it so long ago. Seeing what the developers have done to the game with the advancements in technology and new ideas, and it’s true that Insomniac Games did not change any of the original Ratchet and Clank content, they did a beautiful job of redoing the game and it’s definitely a must have for fans of the old series.

I’m a pretty big Ratchet & Clank fan. I’m really amazed that after all these years, the games are STILL fun. Out of the three big platforming series on the ps2 around that time: Ratchet & Clank, Sly Cooper and Jak and Daxter, I’d have to say Ratchet takes the cake.
