Obsidian Entertainment has teased their new project today. The developer of South Park: The Stick of Truth, Alpha Protocol and Neverwinter Nights II has revealed “Project X” and posted a teaser image on its website with only the number “4″ inside a circle created by a dragon eating its own tail. There is also text below the image that reads: What do the words mean?” “Nothing. The Dirge of Eir Glanfath is sound without form, a lone voice crying out in mourning because it must.”
The image has since changed to a similar image but with the number “3″ instead and text that says “The Book unread is unwritten. The reason we don’t explain it is the reason we use it. Its power is in its mystery. That is the Leaden Key, in part, in whole. Is that clear?” “Digging the truth buries the seeker.” If the timeline is any indication, tomorrow will yield a different teaser image with the number “2″ and the announcement finally being made this Friday.
People are bound to make numerous speculative predictions and as such, this will drum up attention for this yet-to-be announced title. There is already a forum on the site itself for those trying to figure out what title this is teasing. Some believe this is teasing a new Dungeon Siege title. Obsidian developed the last entry in the series, Dungeon Siege III. Others say it’s Fallout 4, which has been rumored to be in development over at Bethesda but Obsidian did do the latest entry in the series, Fallout: New Vegas. Others still say this is the re-announcement of the game based on the The Wheel of Time novels that was announced back in 2010.
