Sometime in the near future, an alien substance has been released into the wrong hands and it’s up to a team of CIA agents to stop the madness in FUSE. This is somewhat of an underground title as it has not been talked about much in the gaming community but it looks like Insomniac Games has made a piece of art that has the potential to join the list of some of the elite titles out there today. The idea of the game is to use creative weapons and teamwork to take down a corrupt corporation and the best part is the game supports four player co-op.

“Lethal teamwork” is the phrase surrounding this game as different players are to use different weapons and tactics to level out the battlefield in front of them each level. The graphics look impressive and the game has the potential to be a flop or, based on some of the videos and media released already, it’s going to be a big hit. The game is set to release in Spring of 2013 but through some videos already posted, the guns are what is going to make or break this underdog title. I’ve already seen weapons that can create an impenetrable ballistic shield that uses it’s gel-like exoskeleton to absorb bullets and incoming melee attacks and can then push all that damage back out as one big kinetic beam of energy. Also, without giving too much away, there is a gun that uses liquid magma that uses a smart-targeting tech that can jump from one enemy to the other, instantly liquefying all of the foes the player faces at that time.

FUSE looks amazing and Insomniac Games isn’t looking too bad themselves what with all of the major projects they have been kicking out this year and now they are setting the standard for next year with the lethal teamwork masterpiece here. Keep up the good work Insomniac and we’ll see all you players out on the alien-modified battleground March of 2013.
