All New Pet Battles Coming to World of Warcraft: Mists of Pandaria
The Mists of Pandaria are in sight and we are coming up on the release and one of the biggest additions to this game is going to be the pet battle system. Before, companions were just pets that could follow you all over Azeroth and now you can go out and capture pets and use your own collection to fight other pets all over the world. Most players are calling this a terrible feature because it is just some rip off of Pokemon but Blizzard has said from the start that this a feature that is supposed to be there and it is meant for the players that will enjoy it.
Yes it’s true that it is similar to Pokemon but most people think that this is just for twelve year olds and that is not true. I have tried the pet battle system in the beta and let me just say that strategy is about as intense as it could be with a mechanic such as this. Certain pets do more damage agains other pets and there is actually a quest line that lets the player experience certain areas of Azeroth that they have not seen before. The addition of pet battles was a genius move and it is going to surprise more players than Blizzard even intended to I’m sure because there is yet to be something bad about the system.
I love doing the pet battles and I love capturing and training new pets even more so I don’t care what all of the people that don’t want this in the game say, it’s going to be awesome. Mists of Pandaria releases on the 25th of September and the battle pet trainer can be found on the top plateau of Orgrimmar (for the Horde side at least) to start battling and collecting pets soon.
