Next Xbox Confirmed by Microsoft GM
Up until this point, Microsoft has slyly neither confirmed nor denied the production of a new Xbox. However, Brian Hall, General Manager of Windows Live, let something slip in an interview with Nilay Patel’s Verge podcast. While it may not come as a shock to most of us, it is Microsoft’s first confirmation of the new system, albeit unintentional. It may not give us much to go on at this point, but it’s something! Here’s the quote:
“We’ve had Hotmail and operated Hotmail for about sixteen years, we obviously have Exchange, and Outlook, that people use at work. We just decided it was time to do something new and bring the best from each of those and put them together and release it right in time for the new wave of products that we could have coming out with Windows 8 with the new version of Office with the New Windows phone and the new Xbox.”
You can check it out for yourself in the link below, between 1:17 to 1:41.
