With the hidden secrets of Pandria right around the corner, Blizzard has followed procedure with their pre-patch release this Tuesday. Players need to be ready to utilize all of the changes and tools being given to them by the time the new content actually arrives on September 25th. Some of the changes that are coming are a re-design to all of the talents and specializations, area looting (thank goodness), and overall changes to the classes. Some of the roles have been changed and gameplay is about to become more situational than anyone could have ever predicted.

Odds are players are going to stop any raiding that they are doing or their usual dailies and then log off procedure to chain run some of the patch 4.3 dungeons and get used to playing the way it’s going to be from patch 5.0 on. The pet battle system is not being implemented yet even though there is no new content being released through that aspect at all. The reason for this release is to lay down the base mechanics for the game so the actual release will go that much smoother. One thing is for sure, and that’s that even the pre-patch release is long overdue since Blizzard thinks that it’s okay to give their dedicated players nothing to do but fight some big dumb dragons for almost a year.

Mists of Pandaria has already released their cinematic, which is beautiful as always and epic with the storyline already, but players should not expect to see anything new until the actual date of release. This is simply the class changes, as far as glyphs, talents, and mechanics are concerned. Players expecting any sort of new currency, gear, or places to explore are going to be disappointed but the release is a month away and it cannot come any sooner.
