Hitman: Absolution Nun Level Tweaked Due to Controversy

Hitman: Absolution is the latest in the Hitman series and apparently there is a level where Agent 47 will be killing some sexy nuns with guns. The trailer makes this game look like it is going to be a movie hitting the big screen and that is exactly what a trailer is meant to do. Square Enix did such a beautiful job with the graphics and overall look of this, who cares that that the idea may be a little strange? I mean the game is about stealth, blending in, and doing your best to not be exactly what you are so maybe it’s fitting in this situation only?

Attack of the Saints is only going to be one level in Hitman: Absolution and the developers are definitely adding some last minute changes regarding the controversy and media attention that followed the release of this amazing trailer. They will not be taking the content out (which is awesome) and they are going to provide a backstory as to why there are some s & m nuns walking around with fully automatic rifles. If anyone has played the other Hitman games they know that this is probably just a way that they hide what they really are, even if it’s not enough to put a stop to Agent 47’s mission. The trailer does an excellent job of showing how the game is really going to play as the hit man completely destroys nun after nun using a lot of different tools.

One thing people need to remember is that this controversy is over what the game really has been like in the past and there is the little side topic that it is just a game as well. It’s understood that people want something to complain about for the attention, but it’s understood by the public that nuns don’t really do this and it’s very generous that the developers are explaining why it’s happening in the first place. Nobody complained about the old Hitman games where you blow up a meth lab filled with nude workers that you take out one at a time. Whether people are okay with this idea or not, those of us waiting anxiously for this beautiful content to be released will be showing some nuns what’s up November 20th 2012.
