The Ouya is stirring up a hornet’s nest within the gaming world regarding whether or not FF3 (Final Fantasy III) is going to be released for it. Recently Square Enix made a pledge that the game will be launched for Ouya and it has a ton of anticipators biting their nails impatiently.

The Ouya, essentially being a universal studio for gamers and developers everywhere will allow games to be played through your television as sort of being the console. It will allow anyone that can develop a program or game of any kind to upload their creation to the universe. How amazing would it be if a title such as Final Fantasy made it on to this console? Square Enix sees this as an opportunity and has pledged, officially, that FF3 will be released on the Ouya.

The game will be downloadable and it’s a try-to-play feel as with the rest of the games for this Android powered platform. Most people may have thought the Ouya was a “rip off” or that it wasn’t going to be as cool as your basic platform, but the fact that it’s ringing in developers like Square Enix and titles like Final Fantasy, it’s sure to turn some heads.
