Rainbow Six: Patriots Preview
Rainbow Six: Patriots is going to be the newest games of the Rainbow Six series and unfortunately was one of many hidden gems at E3. Ubisoft Montreal must’ve not wanted to release much information as the rest of the games coming out in 2013. It has been several years since the last Rainbow Six game came out and they understand, the previews are the seller of the game. Rainbow Six: Patriots is not going to be a brand new concept as far as the setting since in the last games, you were taking out terrorists in Las Vegas.
It is also a very good possibility that this title is laying low because they are saving development for the next-gen systems. It would be very refreshing for some beautiful new graphics to go along with the consistent strong gameplay. The feeling of being a real squad member in these games with the real momentum and challenge of the games is something gamers are craving more than ever nowadays. Ubisoft Montreal is completing several projects for late 2012 but there are even bigger titles dropping in 2013, so to drop a new Rainbow Six title is just another checklist to the achievements.
Of the little content that has been released so far, we can see that the crew is on a mission to stop a suicide bomber holding a dead man switch and there’s not much a tactical killing squad can do about this problem. A bold move is made by the leader of the squad as he throws him over a bridge and trusts the explosion will not kill them and the civilians on the bridge as well. It looks as though ultimate sacrifices will be made to keep America safe in this game which really fits the name. Hopefully there will be more to come on this almost secret Rainbow Six project from Ubisoft Montreal soon.
