Mass Effect 3 has been in the news profusely over the past few weeks, but not all the hype has been praise and admiration. Fans across the globe are not only displeased with the ending of Bioware’s most coveted trilogy, at least 14,000 players are demanding alternate endings. The net is buzzing with dissatisfaction; many claim the finale does not live up to the freedom reflected in the overall series. Others rant about how ME3’s conclusion does not address the choices players have made over the previous titles.

We are here to settle the score. What is your opinion of the Mass Effect 3 ending? Do you believe Bioware fell short on a promise to satisfy gamers who stood loyal to a series five years in the making? Cast your vote and let your opinion be known.

No I did not. The investment of time, save games, 5 real years total across the titles, I felt that Bioware should have known that particular attention would need to be paid to the finale to pay off those gamers who spent years playing the game, collecting their save games, buying the DLC and so forth. The amount of errors, issues, and just sheer randomness in the ending shows that at the very least they were almost criminally negligent in planning the endings.

Personally I actually wanted a hero ending. Many did not but I felt that everything I did should have followed the typical pay off conclusion that gave me reward for my investment. To say it was utterly disappointing in both content and attention is an understatement to me.
