The vast world of Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning just got a little vaster. EA has announced the release of the game’s first downloadable content pack: The Legend of Dead Kel. Players will find themselves on the dark and mysterious island of Gallows End, an expansive new land mass for them to explore. The DLC will include a new questline, complete with branching side missions and eccentric new characters. Littering the landscape are a slew of new enemies to conquer— and a slew of new weapons to kill them with. Players will wield 18 new weapons and eight new shields, don eight new sets of armor, earn three new Twists of Fate, and explore a new dungeon type.

With all this new content, even the most steadfast warrior will need a place to rest his weary head. Gravehal Keep is a colossal estate that provides much more than just respite. Complete with side quests and bonuses available to the player, the Keep will provide another chuck of content to make the magic last.

Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning is a beautiful and deep world, rich with quests, equipment, and magic. The Legend of Kel DLC will serve only to expand this mystical realm. Mark your calendars for its release: March 20, 2012.
