Eat Sleep Play makes Twisted Metal more Mature
Originally, Twisted Metal for the PlayStation 3 was intended to be rated T for Teen by the Entertainment Software Rating Board, much like all Twisted Metal games before it (Twisted Metal: Black notwithstanding). However, despite their attempts, a T rating was not considered appropriate by the ESRB due to its level of gore and live action cutscenes. As such, David Jaffe, the co-founder of the game’s developer Eat Sleep Play as well as the creator of the Twisted Metalseries, announced at the 2011 Comic-Con that they would make the game more appropriate for an M for Mature rating, which was met with good reception from the Comic-Con crowd.
